Youth Climbing Team

Planet Granite’s climbing teams focus on building self confidence and rock climbing skills through hard work and team support. Coaches emphasize the fundamentals of climbing and fitness in a fun and relaxed environment. Team workouts focus on balance, movement, strength training, communication and mental strategy. Climbing Team runs year round and includes a PG Membership! Call your local Planet Granite to sign up!.

Intermediate Team
The Intermediate team is a natural progression for kids who have participated in recreational climbing camps or who have excelled during birthday parties and other events. Prices below include expert coaching, full access to the gym and free rental gear on team days. Open to kids ages 11-18. have a younger climber? Check out our After School Programs or Rock Monkeys.

Advanced Team
Planet Granite’s climbing teams focus on building self confidence and rock climbing skills through hard work and team support. Coaches emphasize the fundamentals of climbing and fitness in a fun and relaxed environment. Team workouts focus on balance, movement, strength training, communication and mental strategy.

The Advanced team is focused on training for competitions and personal climbing. Climbers concentrate on lead climbing skills, advanced technique, fitness training, and mental preparation. Advanced team members may join upon coaches’ invitation and must be belay certified. (Belay certification is also based on coaches’ approval for climbers under 14 years of age.)

Competitive Team
Planet Granite also has a competitive team! We are proud to offer one of the largest teams in California! If you or your child is interested in being part of the competitve team, please contact your local Planet Granite.

Rock Monkeys
Our special program for those ages 8-10 years old. This is an exciting program tailored for those younger ones who have graduated from our After School Program or are ready to challenged more in climbing.

* Initiation fee is only charged upon starting one new membership type. If converting from another membership type to Team, there is no initiation fee.
