Jill, one of our PG Sunnyvale yogis, travels to Japan in early May to conduct inspirational yoga events promoting the use of yoga tools, skills and guidelines for dealing with fear, stress and hardship. We’ve heard back that the Japanese have received plenty of funds, food and relief workers.   What they are missing is inspiration to pick up, release their fears, rebuild and face a new horizon. They are intensely rattled. Yoga is specifically about calming centering and focusing the mind so that you can enhance your personal power and creativity, it’s amazing for post traumatic stress syndrome…

Jill will also be visiting evacuee centers delivering personal handwritten messages from Bay Area Yogis and others imbued with prayer and compassion, as well as conducting public yoga sessions.  A token that we haven’t forgotten even though the media coverage has waned.

Namaste to all those who have supported Jill so far in this endeavor.  Come to the 108 Sun Salutation class and donate what you can to help cover Jill’s cost for this trip.  Any additional proceeds beyond her expenses will go to Japanese Relief efforts already established
