On Sunday, December 6th, 1p-4pm, we will host the 2009 Mt Everest Challenge to raise money for Stacey Collver, a five year survivor of a double lung transplant!   The goal is to climb the entire height of Mt. Everest: 29, 035 feet!  Entrance to Planet Granite is waived for partipants!

In August of 2003, Stacey was diagnosed with a rare lung disease called LAM: lymphangioleiomyomatosis.  This disease is progressive and fatal.  The only treatment is to have a lung transplant.  On November 2004, Stacey received new lungs at the Stanford Medical Center.  This year marks Stacey’s Fifth Anniversary of her transplant!  She has beaten the odds, as only 50% of lung transplant patients survive their first five years.  Help us congratulate Stacey and raise money to help pay off her medical bills.

To register, please pick up a packet at the Front Desk at either PG Sunnyvale or PG Belmont.  To register to receive online donations, please visit and type in “Stacey Collver” to donate.  Participants are asked to raise a minimun of $100.
