Join us for our third annual climb-a-thon fundraiser to raise money for the American Safe Climbing Association! Planet Granite will match all donations to the ASCA in November.

Which means, since all proceeds from this event will benefit the ASCA, all participants will actually be donating DOUBLE to the ASCA! It’s a win win!

The Battle for Bolts is a one-of-a-kind overnight partner climbing competition to raise money for the American Safe Climbing Association (ASCA). The ASCA is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping keep our sport climbing areas safe.

Since 1998, the ASCA has replaced thousands of bolts at local climbing areas like Pinnacles, Donner Summit, Yosemite, and Tuolumne, along with hundreds of other areas across the country and worldwide. Largely run by volunteers, the ASCA relies on donations from individuals and organizations such as ours.

With the popularity of sport climbing growing and with more volunteers helping to replace old bolts, the ASCA ran out of money earlier this year.

For the month of November, Planet Granite has pledged to match up to $20,000 of donations raised for the ASCA.

As part of this commitment we have created the Battle for Bolts.

What to Expect
This Battle will be epic! Enter with a partner or a group, and climb as many routes as you can in 12 hours at Planet Granite Belmont. Along the way earn bonus points during extra challenges and fun mini games.

The Competition
Grand prizes for winning teams of 2 in Recreational, Advanced and Open categories. Grand prize for the relay team that completes the most routes in 12 hours. Small prizes throughout the event for winners of fun mini-challenges.

We’ve got a growing pile of prizes waiting to be won. With heroic determination and a little support for the ASCA, these could be yours.

We are asking for a minimum donation of $50 per participant. More is welcome and 100% of the proceeds benefit the ASCA!  All donations made between Nov 1st and 31st (and this registration) will be matched by PG! Help us meet our $20,000 match so we can donate over $40,000 to the ASCA!
