Planet Granite is proud to support charitable organizations who offer outdoor experiences to people who don’t get many such opportunities through our PG Gives Back program. One of our longest relationships, since 2010, when we first donated as part of PG Gives Back, has been with Environmental Traveling Companions, a group that brings rafting, kayaking, and skiing to disadvantaged youth and people with disabilities.

ETC is a special organization, and has quite the track record of success:

Since its inception, ETC has offered our life-changing programs to more than 60,000 people with special needs including visual or mobility impairments, developmental disabilities, cancer and other life-threatening illness, and youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

All of this makes us proud to support them.  Since 2010, we've given a total of $130,000.  This year, in 2016, our donation is $20,000.  That is enough to help:

  • 124 people whitewater raft on the American River
  • 134 people sea kayak on the San Francisco Bay
  • 120 people cross-country skiing in the Sierra
  • or 16 youth on their LEAD program

Beyond that, we'd like to share a fun event with you that would be a great time for a great cause: ETC's annual fundraiser, which takes place May 14 this year in Sausalito. Here are all the details (and just click here, or on the image above, to go to the event's registration page):
