Epsiode 1: HOLD & GRIP TYPES WITH MITCH
One of the first, and most important, things new climbers learn are the different types of holds you’ll find both in the gym and outside. Knowing what these holds are, and how you can best utilize them can prepare you to push your grades in your climbing. Each week we’ll also provide a drill to help you hone your newly learned skill.
While climbing, call out to yourself what type of hold you are currently grabbing. This will help you remember each hold, and remind you how to best utilize that hold.
Practice the different ways to grab a hold and determine which you prefer, and which you might need to develop more.
