Episode 11: Straight Arms

This week, PG Belmont Instructor Conor, walks us throgh the importance of learning to climb with straight arms. 

DRILL: Shouler Swings

Find some easy terrain with big jugs that have a variety of distances between them. Pull onto the wall and while keeping your arms straight reach for different jugs while concentrating on swinging your shoulders and hips to gain the next jug, rather than bending at the elbow. Do this conscientiously and do your best not to bend at the elbow!
