Epsiode 1: USING YOUR TOES
Footwork is vital for all aspects of climbing. What’s the most important part of footwork? How to properly utilize your toes. Our toes are half of our contact with the wall, and knowing how to utilize them on all types of terrain can greatly improve your climbing. Whether you’re looking to boulder a new grade or improve your endurance, utilizing your toes can get you there.
Each week we’ll also provide a drill to help you hone your newly learned skill.
DRILL: Foot Hovers
Choose a climb well within your climbing ability. Hover your foot over each foot hold for 2-3 seconds before you place your foot. Engage your heel, and move on. This allows you to focus on exactly how and where you are placing your feet.
