Erin Wang performs Conclusion by Apocalyptica at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

You know PG’s Member Appreciation Night: It’s an event when the gym closes, members only get free roam of the gym, and snacks and beverages are served.

Well, get ready for an appreciation night like you’ve never seen (or heard): On January 17th from 6:30-9pm at Planet Granite San Francisco, we’ve got a special treat for the PG community: One of our very own members, renowned cellist Erin Wang, will be giving a special performance during an evening yoga session. Erin has a long and impressive musical resume, with degrees from Oberlin College and Conservatory, DePaul University, and an Artist Certificate in Chamber Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Erin has performed with a variety of stellar musicians from Yo-Yo Ma to hip-hop artist Kanye West to indie rock group Death Cab for Cutie. She’s also got serious classical cred, having worked with Menahem Pressler, Peter Frankly, and Anthony Marwood. She’s currently touring with the ODC Dance Company, playing music of Zoë Keating for the piece Boulders and Bones. Erin also teaches in the Bay Area and is an awesome climber.

Erin will team up with PGSF yoga instructor Charles S. Jasper D.C. and Ph.D, providing a unique and thrilling accompaniment as he leads a yoga class. Charles has been a long time student of yoga and mediation and combines this with his private practice as a clinical psychologist, consulting with individuals, couples, and groups in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy. He has been a student of Vipassana meditation for over 20 years, trained in various forms of Hatha Yoga, notably Anusara Yoga, and is also a practiced chiropractic of over 21 years. Charles usually teaches our incredibly popular ‘Foundations of Flow’ class.

We’re totally stoked for Erin’s performance during Charles’ special Yoga class and we hope you are too!

Join us in San Francisco on Sunday January 17th from 6:30-9pm for a one-of-a-kind Member Appreciation Night.
