The San Francisco Triathlon will lead to full street closures this Sunday, as 800 everyday athletes jump off a boat for a swim and do battle with San Francisco’s hilly terrain, both on foot and pedaling furiously on expensive bicycles.
Sadly, the triathletes’ endeavors will close the roads around Planet Granite San Francisco.
In other words, Sunday morning will offer a terrific opportunity to ride a bike or walk to the gym! Road closures will last until 10:30 a.m., according to Presidio Trust staff. They will include:
- Mason Street from Marina Gate to the Warming Hut
- All roads intersecting Mason Street, such as Crissy Field Ave. + Lincoln Blvd. to the 25th Ave. Gate
- All roads intersecting Lincoln Blvd. such as Long Ave. and McDowell Ave.
- All street parking and parking lots will be closed during the course of the race
